Do I have to change the keypad codes?
The greatest thing about gate opener keypads is the ability to change their access codes whenever you want. This is certainly not an obligation but it is always an option. Changing the codes periodically is something that you should consider doing, just to be on the safe side.
Can I install the roll up gate on my own?
Unless you're a professional technician experienced in this type of work, this would be highly ill-advised. Installing an automatic gate is something that a professional should do and not a DIY enthusiast. Apart from the potential safety risks, an improper installation can lead to more problems in the future, which means more money spent on fixing problems that could have been avoided in the first place.
What do I do in case my gate jams?
First, make sure that the problem did not occur due to some type of obstruction. Clear the path and check the track or the hinges (whichever ones your system has) as they may have sustained damage and that's why the gate got stuck. If you can't find the source of the problem, or if you can but it involves complex repairs, give our experts a call.
What is the difference between a gate operator and a gate opener?
You may have encountered both of these terms and have some confusion as to when each one is applicable. Basically, these are interchangeable names for the same device. A gate operator is the same as a gate opener. They are synonymous terms and can refer to either a hydraulic or electromechanical type of device used to automate the movement of a driveway gate.
